Information You Provide
Search Terms
When a visitor enters a name, place, or other search term into a sponsored search tool, that query is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Hodgeman County Inmate Population does not keep its own stored log of those search terms. The provider's own privacy policy and terms govern what happens after the query leaves this site.
Messages Sent to Us
If a visitor sends an email or contact message, we may keep the name, email address, message text, and any details needed to respond. We do not share those messages outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law, legal process, or a valid government order.
Technical Data Collected
Like most websites, this site may collect basic technical data when pages load. That information helps maintain the site, measure use, and diagnose errors.
- Internet Protocol address.
- Browser type and browser version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages viewed and approximate time spent on pages.
- Referring website or search engine, if one is available.
- Date and time stamps.
Cookies
Cookies and similar tools may be used to understand how visitors use the site and to support ads or analytics. A browser can usually block or delete cookies through its settings. Some features, including partner search tools or ad functions, may work differently when cookies are blocked.
How Data Is Used
- To keep the site available, readable, and reasonably fast.
- To route search requests to the correct partner service when a visitor uses a sponsored tool.
- To learn which Hodgeman County jail, court, and custody topics are most useful to readers.
- To find broken pages, security issues, browser errors, and other technical problems.
- To display advertising that may be based on broad interests or site activity.
Outside Websites
This site links to sheriff, jail, Kansas court, KDOC, federal locator, and third-party search resources. Some public records in Kansas may be requested under the Kansas Open Records Act, but any request submitted to a government office is handled under that office's own records, privacy, and retention rules. Once a visitor leaves this site, the outside site's privacy policy controls.
Advertising partners may also use their own systems to measure activity across websites or show targeted ads. Those tracking tools are operated by the ad partner, not by Hodgeman County Inmate Population.
Who May Receive Data
We do not sell personal data as a stand-alone product. Data may still be received or processed by the parties needed to operate the site and respond to legal requirements.
- Search partners that process sponsored lookup queries.
- Analytics providers that measure page use and technical performance.
- Advertising networks that serve or measure ads.
- Law enforcement agencies, courts, regulators, or government bodies when required by subpoena, court order, statute, or other valid legal demand.
Security Practices
We use reasonable administrative and technical practices for a small reference site. No internet-connected system is fully secure, and we cannot promise that data will never be accessed, disrupted, lost, or misused.
Adults Only
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information to us, a parent or guardian may contact us to request deletion.
Your Data Choices
- Ask for a copy of personal data we maintain about you, if any.
- Request correction of inaccurate contact information.
- Ask us to delete personal data where deletion is legally and technically available.
- Object to or opt out of certain processing where applicable law gives that right.
